This not your ordinary 16-year-old truck. When we purchased the truck in October 2015, from Toyota of Cool Springs, there was an outstanding recall for the car. Apparently, the antirust treatment had not been properly applied to the frame during manufacture. So, the Frame was replaced under warranty in 2016. While that work was being done, Toyota also added new shock absorbers, new spark plugs, a new valve cover gasket, a new gas tank, new Michelin LTX tires, and a new speed sensor. During routine service of 5/10/19 we also installed a new battery and new wiper blades. Also, an intermitting problem with the right rear turn signal was fixed by installing a new taillight assembly and completely new wiring harness. What we now have is a 2003 body on top of an almost all new base.
We have extra keys, and in addition to the installed floor mats with have an extra (new and unused) set.
